Surficial geology and geologic hazards map compiled from 1:24,000-scale mapping of the Douglas Pass-Baxter Region, Rio Blanco and Garfield Counties. For each of the mapped units, there is an included description of the common features, the origin of the unit, its typical position in the landscape, and the ranges in thickness and slope percent. Also shown on the map is one or more areas of active landslides, slumps, or earthflows as of fall 1979 when the aerial photography, upon which this mapping is based, was flown.
