This publication includes abstracts and papers presented at the first “Geologic Hazards and Engineering Practices in Colorado” conference, held at the Colorado Springs Country Club in March of 1996. The purpose of this conference is offer an opportunity to engineers, and other professionals such as planners and architects, to possess the necessary knowledge for the planning and design of structures and infrastructure, and to become more aware of the development and construction risks, in areas of natural hazards.
