Map and discovery of permitted Colorado coal mines, 1981. The purpose of the publication is to provide insight into the Colorado coal industry. This report presents a series of data sheets containing geologic, production, and location data for permitted Colorado coal mines. The accompanying map locates mines and lists them by county, coal mine number and name. Included is the township and range location, geologic formation, and production for 1980 and the first half of 1981 (through June). This directory has been updated and revised by MS-23 in 1984, which was in-turn updated by RS-29 and RS-32 for coal information as of 1989 and 1995-96, respectively. 130 pages. 1 plate (1:1,000,000).
