OF-14-08 Geologic Map of the Axial Quadrangle, Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties, Colorado

$0.00

A slightly modified color digital update of OF-97-05. The geologic structure of this quadrangle is shaped by anticlines and synclines, including the larger, named Axial Basin Anticline and the Collom Syncline. These both trend in a northwest-southeast direction. As is often typical, the anticline axis is eroded on the land surface such that is forms lower elevations exposing older formations at the surface. Bedrock ages in this quadrangle range from Miocene to Cretaceous. The higher elevations include Duffy Mountain to the northeast and the Danforth Hills to the southwest. Digital ZIP download. OF-14-08D
