Geology of Molybdenum Deposits in Colorado

Deposits of molybdenum that can be economically exploited occur throughout the Rocky Mountain west in New Mexico, Idaho, Nevada, and especially Colorado. All the known molybdenum deposits in Colorado occur in a northeast trending zone in the mountainous part of the state, known as the Colorado Mineral Belt.
