From the Introduction:

Who is the Colorado Geological Survey (CGS)?

The Colorado Geological Survey (CGS) is thirty-seven dedicated people whose mission is to serve, inform, and educate the citizens of Colorado about the important role of earth sciences in everyday life. The science, field studies, and research we perform are reflected in the decisions that we make, as well as the products and services we provide. Each of us is encouraged to participate in events that transfer the information we have studied to a wide range of audiences. The State Geologist and seven section chiefs coordinate and lead our efforts.
