Oil and gas fields of Colorado, statistical data, 1976. 57 pages. Digital PDF download. IS-03D
From the Preface:
The statistical data contained in this publication include all currently producing and abandoned oil and gas fields on record in the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission files. Cumulative production figures are as of January 1, 1975, and fields are listed alphabetically by county, and within each county.
Of the 37.5 million barrels of oil produced from all of Colorado’s fields in 1974, over 25.1 million barrels or 67 percent resulted from enhanced recovery methods. The 513.59 million barrels produced to January 1, 1975 as a result of secondary recovery projects represents nearly 48 percent of the state’s cumulative oil and condensate production of 1,080,965,251 barrels. Much of this secondary production is attributable to the Rangely field in Rio Blanco County, the state’s largest field in terms of both present annual production (54 percent of the state’s total) and cumulative production (over 46 percent of the total).
