From the Introduction:

The purpose of the investigation was to describe the aquifers and to evaluate the availability and chemical quality of groundwater in the study area. Parts of the area have undergone rapid population growth in recent years which has resulted in an increased demand for additional domestic, industrial, agricultural, and municipal supplies of water. A knowledge of the occurrence of groundwater will permit a more efficient allocation of the resource.
