IS-57 Database of Geochemical Analyses of Carbonate Rocks in Colorado

IS-57 provides a list of known geochemical analyses for carbonate rocks in Colorado. The database includes sample locations, host information, and the geochemistry of 1,570 carbonate rock samples. Most of the sample analyses were extracted from published literature. Other sources include theses, dissertations, and other unpublished materials. Digital ZIP download. IS-57D

The database is in Microsoft Access format. Included is a PDF of the derivative geological map based on the MI-16 1979 Geologic Map of Colorado (Tweto) showing the extent of limestone- and dolomite-bearing formations throughout the state. ArcView GIS shapefiles (digital map layers) of the geochemical database and selected carbonate rock formations based on the 1979 Tweto map are also included.
