The Great Colorado ShakeOut
2021-10-14 | CGS Admin
The Great Colorado ShakeOut is an annual earthquake drill that takes place every October across the country and the world. This year the official collective drill takes place Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at 10:21 AM (MDT) but you can plan an earthquake drill for any time of the year. As an individual, family, or organization you can participate by planning and designing an earthquake drill. Practicing an earthquake drill is an important step in knowing what to do in case of an earthquake. By registering on the Great ShakeOut site you will be be counted in Colorado’s Great ShakeOut 2021 and will be an example of earthquake preparedness for others in your community. Shakeout.org has all the information you’ll need to be prepared for earthshaking events!
