Dinosaur Hill Interpretive Trail

Fruita, Colorado – Point of Geological Interest #F3

This one-mile, self-guided trail loops past 10 points of geological and paleontological interest, including an Apatosaurus site excavated in 1901 by Elmer Riggs. The Apatosaurus skeleton is on display at the Field Museum in Chicago in an exhibit called “Evolving Planet.” Dinosaur Hill is near the Museum of Western Colorado.
