Dinosaur Tracks Museum

Boulder, Colorado – Point of Geological Interest #F18

Previously located on the University of Colorado at Denver campus, the museum is now closed due to budget constraints and is being curated and stored at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.

This is the world’s largest collection of fossil footprints and traces. Specimens from a wide range of geologic time periods and geographic locations are part of this collection, but the emphasis is on dinosaur tracks from the American southwest. Through December 31, 2015 there is a special display of these fossils at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History called “Steps in Stone, Walking through Time”.
